Bjørn Utgård is an internationally recognized leader in the energy transition, which he has been professionally committed to since 2007. Combining deep knowledge of technology and commercial experience across multiple industries with creative thinking and strong intrapersonal skills, he engages with entrepreneurs and investors in creating and executing winning startup and scaleup strategies. Bjørn has served as CEO at Norwegian electric ferry startup Hyke, which he led to successfully launching its all-new electric water shuttle in 2023, and as VP Sales at EV charging industry leader EVBox, whose revenues he helped grow 10x in 4 years. He has also created and led successful technology ventures in fields like microwave plasma, biomass processing, upcycling of industrial residues, and energy efficiency. He has also consulted governments, companies and investors on implementing policies and strategies to accelerate decarbonization and electrification. He has lived on four continents and has an extensive network in Europe the Middle East, the Americas and APAC. Bjørn Utgård holds an MSc in Energy Systems Engineering and Economics and is based in Oslo, Norway.
